What you can tag

Anything that moves.

Each kind of asset gets the device that fits it. Most get a tag the size of a coin.

  • Machines

    Excavators, loaders, rollers and lifts.

  • Attachments

Buckets, breakers and quick hitches that live outside for years.

  • Containers and cabins

Site containers, welfare units and storage boxes.

  • Power and pumps

    Generators, compressors, pumps and heaters.

Tool cases, lasers, plate compactors and saws.

    Gets aMini tag

A gateway on the truck sees every tag that rides along.

    Gets aVehicle gateway

  • Units that travel alone

Light towers and generators that go out to a site on their own.

How the pieces fit

Tags are heard. Phones and gateways listen.

Start with tags and the phones your staff already carry. Add fixed hardware only where a zone must update itself.

  1. Heard

    Tags.

A tag on each asset sends a short signal every few seconds. It has no GPS and needs no charging.

  2. Listens

    Phones and gateways.

Staff phones with the Hirro app hear tags as people walk the yard. A gateway listens in one spot, at the gate or on a truck.

  3. Reports on its own

    Live trackers.

A live tracker has GPS and its own 4G connection, for units that travel alone.

Every tag heard lands on one map in Hirro, in zones you draw.

Fitting

Your own team fits it.

Tags go on with pads, screws or cable ties. Gateways need power and a pole or a dashboard.

A technician on a ladder fixes a gateway box to a steel pole at a yard gate, a cable tie between their teeth.

Site gateway

On a pole at the gate.

Mains power and a clear view of the gate or the wash bay.

A mechanic fits a small device under the dashboard of a parked truck.

Vehicle gateway

Under the dashboard.

Wired to the truck, so it hears every tag that rides along.

A mechanic opens a round tag at a workbench and swaps its coin battery.

Standard tag

A battery you swap.

The CR2477 battery swaps in seconds at the workbench.

Housing

How you pay

You pay for the software, not a markup on tags.

Buy

Close to cost.

Hardware is priced close to what it costs us, so it never blocks a deal. Monthly software billing is open to you.

Lease

Per device, per month.

Over 36 months, with battery swaps and replacements included. We take the tags back to reuse.

Bring your own

Keep your tags.

Hirro reads standard BLE tags (iBeacon and Eddystone) at no hardware cost.

Questions

About the hardware.

Can I buy hardware without the software?

No. The tags only make sense with a Hirro plan, so every order comes with one. The configurator shows which plan fits your asset count and the help you want.

How long does delivery take?

Starter kits are in stock in Belgium and ship within 2 weeks. Other kits and custom orders ship in 5 to 6 weeks. We confirm the date when we confirm the order.

How do I order hardware?

Build your kit in the configurator on this page and send the order. There is no payment online: we confirm the price and delivery by email or phone, then ship.

How long does a tag battery last?

The Standard tag runs up to 3 to 4 years and the Rugged tag up to 8 years. Battery life depends on how often the tag broadcasts. The Standard tag battery is a CR2477 that you can swap in seconds.

Do I need gateways?

Not to start. Staff phones do most of the reading. Gateways make gate, wash bay and workshop stages update on their own, and a gateway on a truck tracks what it carries.

Can I use my own Bluetooth tags?

Yes. Hirro reads standard BLE tags (iBeacon and Eddystone) at no hardware cost. Other protocols need a one-off integration.

Can I lease the hardware?

Yes. Lease per device per month over 36 months, with battery swaps and replacements of failed units included. Leased hardware goes with yearly software billing.
